Happy Saturday and Sunday Everyone!!
I hope that you are all having a wonderful weekend so far! :-D
This morning we started by doing a little yard work and home improvements (boring)...but then this afternoon we went to a new park! It's called Stulsaft Park and it's in the hills where the mountain lions live, aka we lived on the edge of danger! Hehe! ;-)
There are three different areas...our first trek included doing a trail that led us through the steep hills, into the trees, and down to a creek! We were the only ones on the trail, so it was incredibly peaceful, just listening to the rustle of birdies and who knows what...
Just look at that view...gorgeous!!
Thank you Mr. Sign...I will!! :-)
Spring had definitely sprung on our trail, there were fields of new clovers and flowers!
Going Down!
Photo Op...
Check out the gnarly trees that were in the middle and along our trail...it was pretty hard to see the path in certain places!!
Urg, Domeek...put the camera away dude!!!
This was the nifty creek that was at the bottom...I was thinking that my friends: Goose, Murphy & Stanley, and Bert would love to run through the water and go fishing...I however was the complete opposite, I just wanted to get the heck away!! ;-)
Run AWAY!!!
Yet another view...Domeek loved this place!
Check out the moss on this tree...awesome color and sooooo cool that it's only on one side! Weird!!
See...fields of pretty and smelly clovers!! :-) I loved them!!
The second area of the park included an amphitheater, a picnic area, an off leash dog area, and lots more trees, creeks, paths, hills, and smells!! It was soooooo awesome! Unfortunately I wasn't allowed to go off leash...but we still went off-roading into the wooded area! :-D We found this tree that had fallen over during one of the storms, it was in the process of being broken into pieces...such nifty smells!
I swear, I had the perfect afternoon!! :-D
I hope that you all had as awesome of a day!! See you all next time!
We think you should have been let off that lead! But otherwise, it was a fantastic place to hike. We love the moss tree.

You sure had a beautiful hike and it looked like the perfect weather. I think I might have run away from that water too. Glad you didn't meet any of those mountain lions though.

What a totally perfect place for a walk and so pretty. My mom and dad would walk for miles and miles in garin park...they even saw a mountain lion one day...thankfully it way off in the distance. Mom loved that park (it was in union city) because it reminded her of home....lots of gum trees

Hi there, This is one park I am unfamiliar with but it reminds me of Foothill Park or Stevens Creek Open Space. Loved your hike and your weather. Hope you have a pawsome Sunday!

You took some lovely photos, it looks a great place for a walk. I'd have been straight in that water!
ReplyDeleteWe have been stuck inside for days so thank you for taking us on our walk
ReplyDeleteWhat a great hike! Where we live, it's been cold then warmer, then colder so all the trails are covered in ice. Not good for walking and even worse for the blind ones. Thanks for sharing your hike, that looks like a great place.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful hike, Goose! I would love to visit such a wonderful place; minus the mountain lions ;) I am glad you did no run into any of those!
