I'd like to introduce you all to a new friend of mine...as you will, a different kind of Bunny! ;-)
Have you met him before? Well, if not, this is the Leaping Bunny! I only met him a couple of days ago, when I read about the EU's recent ban on all cosmetic product animal testing!! :-D That's right, the EU, after 23 years of immense campaigning, have finally banned all animal testing on all new cosmetics!!! Wonderful news, isn't it?!
The Leaping Bunny lets consumers know that a particular product and/or brand has gone through a rigorous 'cruelty-free' certification process and that no part of its product development, ingredients or final product have been tested on animals!
Even though the ban only exists in the EU, the Bunny lives on Worldwide, so please check the packaging on all your cosmetics, household, and even some pet products and see if the Bunny visits your home too! ;-)
We were sad to see that only 10-15% of the products used in our house were deemed Bunny worthy! :-( If you would like to see what companies have passed certification, please click here!
Happy Wednesday Everyone!!
We'll check that out. We would love to chase a bunny, no mistake; but to think of them caged and having icky things done to them and their eyes is revolting.
ReplyDeleteWe'll go check our stuff again.
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

ReplyDeleteI just read about that and was glad to hear someone has started certifying companies and products. It's nice to know who does (or doesn't do) testing.

I'm liking this Leaping Bunny. I hope more brands in North America start using it. I try to look for cruelty free brands, but it gets hard sometimes. Happy Wednesday, Goose!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing about the Leaping Bunny! I hope it becomes more popular in the US too! Happy WW!
ReplyDeleteOh my Gooshness... Goose is so adorable! Look at that face. That is wonderful news, btw. Animal testing is no bueno but it's good that you remind people that this still happens. I know I can forget to be vigilent at times.
ReplyDeleteAre you going to the BlogPaws conference in May? I just signed up! I'm excited to connect with the community. :)
