2012...A Year In Review

Wow, I can't believe that it's already New Year's Eve! As everyone always says, this year has just flown by!   ;-)

There have been so many things that I have done, so many classes I have taken, so many places I've been, and so many friends that I've met on my one year journey!

There have been huge highs (winning the BlogPaws competition, getting adopted, meeting all of you), pretty icky lows (Hurricane Sandy, Sandy Hook, missing friends, and illnesses), and a few wonderful souls that were lost (Baby and Cosmo were just the latest), but all in all...2012 was pretty awesome and I'm glad that I was a part of it!

I hope that you all had a magical year and that this coming year will be just as fantastic!!

Hazy Lazy Sunday

Good Evening Everyone!!

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend!! I tell you, a pup could easily get used to all this Holiday time off of work! I can't even think about Domeek going back to her regular schedule on Wednesday, Boo!!!

Today, I not only went to the Dog Park, where there were hardly any pups...so I had to amuse myself with about 50 billion games of fetch, but then we also ventured over to this place called the Bay Front Nature Preserve!

Oh my dog, you should have been there! There's all kinds of birdies and natures and stuff! Absolutely insane smells!! :-D

I'm totally exhausted now...phew!

Time To Walk Off That Stuffing!!

Happy Friday and Saturday Everyone!!

So, to answer a couple of your questions: my new circus fort is from Ikea and, yes, you are all invited to bring your favorite treat and toy and come over and play in it!! :-D

Domeek and I decided that we needed to do a little exercise to walk off some of that stuffing and turkey that we devoured on Christmas and Boxing Day! So, yesterday, we trotted off to our favorite hiking trail to do a whole lot of sniffing and peeing (me, not Domeek!! ;-P)!!!

Can't you just sniff all those amazing smells??? It was pretty darn good weather too...lots of sun, but still cold!! :-D

There were tons of birds hanging out in the water and the shore, including my fellow geese, cranes, and sparrows!

We got there just as the sun was setting, so the light was pretty beautiful!

I decided to do a little paw printing on this one rock!! ;-) Domeek wasn't quick enough with the camera, so she couldn't capture me jumping all over it!

As you can see, the place was crazy muddy, I even had to forge a couple of mud rivers...unfortunately that meant that as soon as I got home, Domeek gave me a bath! Poo!

Hm, a couple of boring nature pictures...yeah, yeah...the sun was setting and we had pink mountains...moving on!!

But what you really should have seen, well...smelt, were all the incredible scents wafting in the air! The place used to be the city dump, years ago, so there's always this...hm, interesting smell...add to this the salt flats, tons of wild animals, and a bunch of pups and humans hiking through...and you got yourself a stimulating overload of smells!!

And I love it!!!

Christmas Day Extravaganza!!

You've seen the stocking un-stuffing...now on to the main attraction - Christmas Dinner and Present Time!!!

Warning...this post contains major photo spamming!! ;-P

Domeek and I went over to Auntie Nilla and Cousin Pippi's house for Christmas dinner! We were in charge of a couple of the side dishes, which meant that there was delicious smells coming from the stove and oven all afternoon!!! Can you say "Yum?"...I was hungry all day long!!

We (hahaha) made Bubble and Squeak patties, which didn't taste as delicious as Boxing Day Bubble and Squeak but wasn't too bad either, and Brussels Sprouts with Pancetta!! Salivating as I speak!

As soon as I got to the house, I made sure that I checked out all the gifts...humans and pups alike (you know, just in case they got something I wanted too!)!

Then it was off to the dinner table...

I really tried to be a good little boy! :-) I just made sure that I was also readily available, just in case anyone wanted to share their meal with me! Alas, it was all in vain, I didn't get a smidgen until dinner was over! Poo! But because Pippi and I were so good, we each got our own plate of numminess!

Then it was PRESENT time!! Pippi and I were soooooooo excited!! :-D But I tried to sit patiently while the presents were passed out!

This was my gift from Auntie Nilla!! It was huge!! I got a new Loofa Dog, some treats, a new puppy shaped bowl, and a new water resistant mat! I also got a big package at the bottom, but I'll wait to show you what that was! ;-)

Pippi and I played the, "You've got a better toy/treat than me!" game, so we were stealing each other's stuff and then taking off and running around the house with it! It was a blast!!!

This is my "Oh My God, She's Going To Get Me" face...hehehe!!

Pippi didn't really understand the whole, un-wrapping process, so I decided to be a really nice cousin and do it for her! ;-)

These are mine and Pippi's gifts from Domeek!! :-D Squeaky mat (OMD, the most loudest and awesome toy ever!), No-stuffing Snowman, and a stocking filled with toys for each of us!!

Then, after we opened all of our gifts and the humans were eating dessert, Pippi and I decided that it was the perfect time to go nuts!! We started chasing each other, running all over the place, and playing with all our new toys! It was so much fun!!!

I did, however, stop long enough to let Domeek get the classic Christmas tree shot! You're Welcome Domeek! ;-)

I had the greatest time with Cousin Pippi!! :-D 

Then, when Domeek and I got home, she decided to put together my big gift from Auntie Nilla!

Oh yeah, you're seeing correctly, I got myself my very own Circus Fort!! Yup!! It's huge and AWESOME!!

Except for a quick stint by my brother Otter to steal it from me...the cats have left my fort entirely alone!! :-D

WooHoo!! 

Domeek got a blanket for the bottom, cause it was shinny and slippery, so now I love it even more, especially with all my new toys hanging out in the fort too!!

So there you have it...then end of my awesome Christmas Day! :-D

I can't wait for next year...only another 363 days to go!!!
