Another Class Down...

Happy Sunday/Monday Everyone!!

I hope that you all had an incredible weekend and Saint Patrick's Day!! :-D

Domeek abandoned me this afternoon and went to an Irish pub in San Francisco to celebrate the drinkable holiday! Something about no dogs allowed, I say "pft!" to that though!!! ;-)

It was my last Intermediate agility class today! WooHoo, another one under the belt! We ran through three different was short, but the other two were pretty darn long and had directional changes!

Domeek and I were able to run through the weave poles again and by the time that class was over, I was actually understanding that they are pretty much like a jump but just placed in a different way! ;-D I was going through from left to right, all by myself!! Oh Yeah!!

So, now we have almost an entire month off before we can start advanced agility! I know, a super duper long time, but we can sign up for "Drop In" agility on Saturdays where there are courses already set up and we can just run through them! So, just in case our memories aren't very good, Domeek and I will do this (at least) a couple of times before advanced starts! :-D

Miss Rachel told us that we need to start thinking about our goals for the coming months though. Our school doesn't have enough space for the really big contact equipment, so if we have plans to do competitions (even if it's just for fun) we need to go to other locations with space! Luckily there are a couple of different schools that are about 45 minutes to an hour away...a little inconvenient, but not a terrible distance, especially on weekends.

One of the schools is called Morgan Hill Dog Sports, this one has a huge outdoor arena for all the agility training and Miss Rachel teaches here too! The other is called Java Dog Training Center in Fremont, they currently have an indoor space in Redwood City but they will be closing this location at the end of the month (boo!).

We still haven't decided what our ultimate goals are...Domeek is debating about the idea of competing since I enjoy the challenges, but we still have a lot to work on we will take Advanced Agility and see what Miss Rachel thinks afterwards! Either way, I think that after the advanced class is over, we will move on to the larger facilities for lots more challenges and fun fun fun!!!

Ok, that's our update for this week! Have a great Monday everyone!! :-D

  1. You are advancing nicely Goose. It would be cool to watch you in the furs.

  2. You don't look pleased that your human left you to go drinking. Congratulations on completing your intermediate agility training! I hope your little legs are keeping up and aren't getting any worse.

  3. You are going so well. We look forward to seeing you in advanced and maybe even in competitions. You go, dude!

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  4. Well done Goose. We hope you had a great Paddy Day!
    Have a marvelous Monday.
    Best wishes Molly

  5. Woof! Woof! FUN FUN class. Hope you had a wonderful St' Patrick's Day. Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar

  6. Pawesome! I bet you can't wait until your next agility class. And what's with Domeek leaving you behind on St. Paddy's Day?!? That wasn't fair at all.

  7. Very fun!! Although you didn't get to join in on those celebrations! Pffffffffffft.

  8. You are doing pawsome - what a clever little guy you are. Competing is fun - the only thing you have to be aware of - it doing it for your dog and not for yourself. A lot of people do it more for the ribbons and winning then having fun with their dogs. It's not a bad thing per se - but we have seen a lot of burnt out dogs that run the courses and don't enjoy it anymore.

  9. Your moving right along buddy, hope you didn't partake of to many pints!

  10. We think she should have gone to an Irish pub, with outdoor tables - then you could have gone along!

  11. Goose, I hope Ma at least brought ya back a green treat!! Wow, you are really getting good and Max would love to cheer you on in a competition! We can all virtually cheer ya to see a video of the first competition you do! Rock on Goose!!!

  12. Whether you do it competitively or not - just keep having fun! And enjoy your "summer break" until the next class starts.

Also, Blueberry seconds the raspberry on Domeek leaving you at home. ;)

  13. Even though you had to stay home - Happy St Patrick's Day! (next year, Domeek better find the outdoor pub)

  14. Goose-
Congrats on the weave poles. That is a challenge for sure. We love agility and keep a tunnel and a couple of jumps in the yard for fun.

  15. Goose,

We sure hopes you had a most wunderful St. Patrick's Day! Our mom left us too. ;)

    Woofs and Licks,
    Maggie Mae and Max

  16. Wow Goose! You are turning into an agility whiz! Good job on those weave poles, buddy :)
