Oh What A Beautiful Feeling - Review

It's been a really long time since I wrote a review, but a couple of weeks ago, a new friend from Cardinal Pet Care contacted me about taking a look at one of their client's products!

Viva La Dog Spa is a fantastic company that creates beautiful, aromatic, and genius doggie grooming supplies! If you need it or want it...they have it - from shampoos, to conditioners, spritzes, facial wipes, and even fragrances and emery boards! Their products are plentiful and have beautiful packaging (and I'm a Dude saying that!)!

What makes the company even more special is the fact that they are seriously focused on their facility's carbon footprint! All of their products are manufactured in the US, in a 100% solar powered facility, all of their products' are biodegradable and all of the packaging is recyclable (even in Island nations)! :-D I say "Kudos to you guys!"!!

We were asked to take a look at their Rescue Me - Deep Conditioner, which is a really rich conditioner that works for both pups and humans alike! It was supposedly created for Poodles, Cotton de Tulears, Maltese, Shih Tzus, L’Hasa Apsos, Bichons and Bedlingtons...but any pup who suffers from dry and matted furs will get fantastic use out of it (says the Jack Russell mix)! :-D

I tell you, every time I take a look at their stuff, I feel a bit more French! ;-)

The conditioner is incredibly thick and has a wonderful scent...I couldn't stop sniffing the stuff!

We had to leave it on for 5 - 8 minutes and then comb/brush out all of the tangles (which was easier to do after using Rescue Me) before rinsing...we're not used to having to wait, but the time went really quickly and before we knew it, it was time to rinse!

Man, doesn't bathing make you humans exhausted too?! I was super pooped after the whole ordeal! Grrrr...ruff!

Check out that fabulous looking fur!! Insane, ain't it?! I'm one good looking dude now! ;-)

As you can see in this close up - smoother...shinier...tangle free! :-D

All in all, I found that the Rescue Me - Deep Conditioner was a great product that lived up to it's hype! :-D My fur is smoother and has far less tangles since I used it - oh and the very chic scent lasts for quite a while too...mmm, mmm, good! And at $10.49 a tube, the product is totally worth it!

I give their product 2 paws up and I'm definitely going to be checking out Viva La Dog Spa's other products, especially their oatmeal shampoo as I tend to get a lot of hot spots and irritations! Make sure that you take a look at all their products too!!

Wordless Wednesday - Bloopers

So last night Domeek and I were conducting a photo-shoot for tomorrow's review and, let's just say, me and my siblings weren't feeling that cooperative! ;-)

And...she didn't even get a photo of me (literally) jumping out of the kitchen sink!! Hehehe, needless to say, Domeek was not happy with me...something about dangerously too high! Whatevers!

Bring Your Dog To Work Day!

Happy Monday Everyone! I hope that you all had a fantabulous weekend!!

Last Friday was "Bring Your Dog To Work Day" and by the look of all my Facebook and Twitter friends' status updates...lots of pups participated!! :-D Did any of you get to go hang out with your peeps at work?

We've participated for two years now...and it is sooooo much fun! :-D First we get coffee in the morning, then it's off to the work where I get to sniff, say "Hi" to lots of people, and enjoy a good naps! I personally think that humans complain far too much about "going to work!"...they have it way better than up pups! ;-)

As I'm sure you are all aware, today, Blogville is coming together to show encouragement and support to a dear friend Benny - the Frenchie!

And in honor of the pawesome dude, we have decided that today...Friday, June 21st is Fight Like A Frenchie Day!!! (The crowds are going wild!!)

Poor Benny has been diagnosed with that no good, very bad C-Word, which is pretty hefty to financially treat...so, if you have a few extra buckaroos and want to help a frenchie out...check out their Chip-In and see what you can do!

Bland, But Noms!

Happy Wednesday Everyone!!

Just a short post, we've got a whole of lot of stuff going on right now at home...so we're (aka I'm) unfortunately having to neglect my online buds! 

My tummy is finally starting to feel almost 100% again, but I've been subjected to the "Bland Food" diet for the past week...take a look though, I'm not really complaining!! ;-)

I'm scoring lots of boiled chicken, sweet potatoes/pumpkin, rice, and I even get a little cottage cheese! Where has this diet been all my life?! ;-)

We're now seriously debating going "homemade" with my diet, especially since as a major pain the tush - picky eater, I'm devouring the entire bowl...so we're in the research mode right now, while I continue with my bland adventure!

This afternoon, Domeek came home to find a package for little old me on the doorstep too!!!

It was my fantastic Kong prize from my buds Reilly and Denny over at Cowspotdog!! WooHoo!!

Check out the swag!! :-D I kept the Sweet Potato treats and gave my cousin, Pippi, the meaty treats...cause who doesn't love more noms?!

Just don't mind the expression, I'm just mad that Domeek won't let me have any treats right now! :-P Boo Domeek!

Monday Mischief - Domeek Edition!

Happy Monday Everyone!!

I hope that you all had a wonderful weekend!

Unfortunately I just learnt about our dear little friend, Foley, crossing the bridge yesterday...she certainly was a wonderful character and will be deeply missed by her entire family! If you haven't done so already, make sure that you stop by and send your love to her peeps and sister! :-(

I have sadly had some tummy issues for the past two days, so have been feeling completely sorry for myself!

Can't you see the despair in my little eyes?! Sniff, Sniff!! :-(

Little Bit tried to make me feel a bit better...I guess there are good aspects to having a sister!

I'm feeling slightly better this afternoon, so let's hope that it continues!! ;-)

Meanwhile, while I'm practically dying on the sofa, Domeek went off gallivanting around the Bay Area with...wait for it...ANOTHER DOG!!!

I know, right?! The audacity!! Pft!

Urg, this is the culprit! His name is supposedly, Rodney, and he's like 5 months old...but whatever! No matter who he is and how sweet he is, he still stole my Domeek for two afternoons! [Sticking tongue out]

Domeek came home and kept talking about what a great walker and listener he was...

His Dad had to go out of town, so they needed someone to help out during the day...I'm just glad that his pop is back where he belongs now!

Hm, so there you are...Domeek's Monday Mischief! This better not be a regular occurring thing! :-P

OMD...June 7th Is A Magical Day!

TGIF Everyone!!! :-D

Well, I was perusing Facebook this morning, when I discovered that today...June 7th...is the happiest day on Earth!! Have you heard the news???

Hecks Yeah!!!

Can you believe it? There's actually a day that is completely and utterly devoted to all things Doughnut!! :-D Que Delicioso!!!

So, now that you are all absolutely starving and salivating over the keyboard, how can you celebrate this fantastic day?!

As most of you know...it's probably not the best idea to shove an entire box of human doughnuts down your throat (whether you are a dog or, come to think of it, a human), but there are a couple of really great pup recipes and ideas on the market!

I was given a pup doughnut from Petco for my last birthday, it was fabulous, and relatively inexpensive at only $4.99 for the entire container!

But, if you want a treat that's a little healthier...or one that you actually know what the ingredients are, then I suggest taking a look at Dr. V and Brody's doughnut recipe! :-D

There's only 7 ingredients needed for this fantastic (and beautiful) recipe and I'm pretty sure that you have most of them in your pantries already! Brody gives them 2 GIANT paws up...so how can you say "No"?

Well, I'm going to relax at Starbucks for a bit and then hit the doggie park...try to stay out of all this crazy heat, especially if you live in California!!

Happy Sunday Everyone!!

Well, this morning Domeek and I woke up super duper early, dragged ourselves to the car, and drove up to San Francisco's McLaren Park for the Million Dog March!!

We got there a half an hour before the event started...and there was already a crazy crowd!

My registration number was 749, so even though I haven't heard the final count, you can guess how many pups were there this morning!!

I took the opportunity to have a little meet and greet time with my fellow competitors before the "race" actually started!

Around ten o'clock, the Emcee announced that it was time to get up to the Start line...

but we were so close to the front that it was hard to see how many competitors were behind us! They began to play the Rocky theme song...the cow bell was rung...and we were oooooofffffff!!

The course was three miles long and consisted of gravel, cement, grass, steep hills, water, narrow trails, and lots of people and dogs to walk around! ;-)

This was the crowd ahead of us...

...and this was the crowd behind us!!

Not only were there fabulous smells to sniff, but there were also spectacular sights to be seen by the humans (even with the typical San Francisco fog)!

Since I'm not the greatest distance walker, Domeek and I were both a little worried that I might not be ecstatic with the terrain and length, but I am happy to state that I paced myself well, and stayed with the group the entire course!

It was only right before the last two turns that I started to slooooow down...I kept looking at Domeek hoping that she might pick me up, but she told me "Nope, we're almost there...you can do it!" So, I sucked it up and carried on!

One hour to the minute after starting the race, I was practically sprinting to the finish line! ;-)

After a long drink, a couple of treats from vendors, and a quick pee break...Domeek and I took one last photo and then headed over to Peet's for coffee, where I immediately fell asleep and power napped until we arrived back home!

It was an incredibly fun Sunday and, even if we didn't break the Guinness world record, it was still amazing to see all those dogs and their humans, getting along, and out together on a fantastic walk!
