Happy Wednesday Everyone!!
So, this past weekend, Domeek took me to what can only be referred to as "Puppy Mecca" aka Point Isabel Regional Shoreline! We had heard about this magical place online, but had never ventured an hour North to see it for ourselves...that is, until Sunday! :-D
The park is a 23 acre, off leash, marsh land, sea front, non-enclosed area...and I was allowed to go off leash for the first time ever!!! Oh my dog, I couldn't believe that this place was real...the smells, sounds, dogs, people!!! I tell you, if you get the chance to visit...YOU MUST!!! :-D
But what Domeek really loved, was the fact that I behaved beautifully off leash! I didn't run off, I always kept an eye and ear on her, and always returned when she called, which means that we can do it again!! :-)
The park is in Richmond, so you can see (at least on a clear day) the beautiful San Francisco skyline.
Before the leash came off...
After the leash came off...
Whoa, I was exhausted after all that trekking, sniffing, and walking! Thankfully, there's a dog friendly cafe at the entrance (called the Sit & Stay Cafe), so we had a drink and sat for a bit! Aw, it was nice!
I can't wait to get back there again!
Have a great rest of the day guys!
That looks like heaven! We'll be headed your way soon so we'll have to check it out.
ReplyDeleteNow that is one pawsome find - gotto tuck that away in your little book of favorite places to go and it looks like a wonderful place to visit.

What a beautiful park. Glad to see what fun you had!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful park and place to be. I only strive to be as confident as you off leash in a public park. Momma gets mad cause I run away. You seemed to have so much fun! WOOF
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful adventure Goose and we knew you'd behave brilliantly. Till next time. Have a wonderful Wednesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
What a lovely day you had, Goose. We have a place like that too but it's also about an hour away so we don't get to go there very much.

Hi Goose, Good to read about what you've been up to; I lived in the bay area-from San Jose to Santa Rosa for 57 yrs and never heard of this park or area. My hubby grew up sailing and I thought maybe he'd know but he didn't either. Thanks for sharing. We are coming back to No.Ca. for a visit next month-I can't wait to see the beauty of the area. Hope you have a fantastic day!

Wow - off leash too!! That place looks amazing! So jealous of all the beaches you get to visit!
ReplyDeleteGood thing that there were no aggressive big dogs off leash also.

ReplyDeleteOh Goose, Domeek always finds the bestest places for you to go and sniff!!! I heard abouts this amazin' place, butts Ma says I'm too much of a hyperbutt and would probally jump in the ocean chasin' a burdie!!! (yeah, she's probally right....hehehe)
ReplyDeleteSure looks like you had a PAWSOME time!!!! Love the shots ~ sure has been wonderful weather lately, huh?! love it!!!
Kisses,
Ruby ♥
What a fun day and great photos - hope you had a great Wednesday! Wags!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get to go and have fun there again soon - it looks amazing!
ReplyDeleteThat looks WONDERFUL! We have a dog park here, but Katie gets rolled by bigger dogs all the time so we don't go very often. And we don't have water! Or a dog friendly cafe! I'm glad you had fun and did such a good job of paying attention. You are one smart dog!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. It looks like a great place to explore.
