Happy Sunday Everyone!!

Well, this morning Domeek and I woke up super duper early, dragged ourselves to the car, and drove up to San Francisco's McLaren Park for the Million Dog March!!

We got there a half an hour before the event started...and there was already a crazy crowd!

My registration number was 749, so even though I haven't heard the final count, you can guess how many pups were there this morning!!

I took the opportunity to have a little meet and greet time with my fellow competitors before the "race" actually started!

Around ten o'clock, the Emcee announced that it was time to get up to the Start line...

but we were so close to the front that it was hard to see how many competitors were behind us! They began to play the Rocky theme song...the cow bell was rung...and we were oooooofffffff!!

The course was three miles long and consisted of gravel, cement, grass, steep hills, water, narrow trails, and lots of people and dogs to walk around! ;-)

Not only were there fabulous smells to sniff, but there were also spectacular sights to be seen by the humans (even with the typical San Francisco fog)!

Since I'm not the greatest distance walker, Domeek and I were both a little worried that I might not be ecstatic with the terrain and length, but I am happy to state that I paced myself well, and stayed with the group the entire course!

It was only right before the last two turns that I started to slooooow down...I kept looking at Domeek hoping that she might pick me up, but she told me "Nope, we're almost there...you can do it!" So, I sucked it up and carried on!

One hour to the minute after starting the race, I was practically sprinting to the finish line! ;-)

After a long drink, a couple of treats from vendors, and a quick pee break...Domeek and I took one last photo and then headed over to Peet's for coffee, where I immediately fell asleep and power napped until we arrived back home!

It was an incredibly fun Sunday and, even if we didn't break the Guinness world record, it was still amazing to see all those dogs and their humans, getting along, and out together on a fantastic walk!

There are lots of things going on for pups and kittens this weekend:

• Maddie's Pet Adoption Days - 15 Rescues and Shelters in San Francisco will be adopting out friends for free to qualified pet parents (along with 7 other counties across the country, New York and Florida guys check it out)!!
• One Million Dog March - Dog parents of the Bay Area are trying to break the Guinness World Record for the largest dog walk, along with a fantastic festival! 
• Dog Day on the Bay - The only dog friendly cruise along the Bay, lucky pups get to dine on a bow wow buffet, drink out of canine water stations, and even do their business on a sod covered poop deck! 

We won't be going to all these events, especially since that doggy sailing event is super duper expensive, but we're definitely going to try and hop over to a couple of them!! :-D

So, since my schedule's going to be chock a block full for the next couple of days, I'm going to have an early night! 

Yep, I'm super dirty...I just got back from the puppy park! ;-)

Memorial Day Weekend

Happy Tuesday Everyone!

I hope that you all had a wonderful three day weekend!! :-D We decided to stay close to home and enjoyed a little well deserved R&R.

On Saturday, Domeek ventured off to a brand new farmer's market in the Sunnyvale area (little insider's tip, if you are in the Bay Area, definitely check this one out!), as usual, they didn't allow pups inside the gates so I stayed at home and slept in (win-win)!

There were over 30 different certified organic vendors at the market along with a myriad of bakeries, florists, and food truck suppliers...all in all a wonderful start to the weekend! :-)

All of these fresh vegetables cost just $20! Crazy!! ;-)

We also managed to visit the dog park on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. I'm not sure what was happening on Saturday, but there were a ton of different families picnicking in the park and almost everyone had a dog, so there were a whole new set of pups to play with! WooHoo! I particularly fell in love with a mixed poodle (or as his Pop's called him, a moodle (hehehe)!) who was about 2 years old and was visiting, not only our's, but a dog park in general for the first time! Domeek called him my magnet, cause he followed me wherever I went! ;-) I hope that he comes to play again!

Then, this afternoon, Domeek and I went over to Aunty Nilla and Cousin Pippi's house for a BBQ!!!! Man, who doesn't love a great barbecue?! Yum!  :-D We had so much fun! We played, we fought, we went to the park...

...we walked along the Bay, we ate hamburgers, and then we played some more!!! I can't think of a better way to enjoy a day off!

Next time we go over to their house, Domeek says that she will have to video us playing together...apparently it's hilarious! Hm... ;-) Pippi literally threw me across the backyard today, I just turned around and ran straight back at her again..."Bring it Pippi!!!" Muahahaha!

Well, I hope that you all had a fantastic weekend, visited wonderful places, and ate lots of delicious things!!

TGIF, especially since it's a 3 day weekend...woohoo!!! :-D

Are any of you US pups doing anything particularly fun this Memorial Day? I'm not sure what Domeek and I are going to be up to...but we'll definitely be doing something!

I haven't seen Stoli in about a month, so we had a good romp together...then my bud Oliver finally came back to the park too, I haven't seen him since the Holidays, crazy!

Thankfully there are small miracles that are occurring though, including the doggie that was found buried under ruble while his Mom was talking on live TV!

Aw, I'm A Lucky Pup!

Happy Tuesday Everyone!! Hope that you are all having a pawesome week!

So, last Thursday my buddies, Wally and Sammy, decided to bestow upon me a super, duper awesome award...The Sunshine Award!!! :-D [Blushing]

What I was so happy about was that it is an award for “bloggers who positively pawsitively and creatively inspire others in the blogosphere“. Dawwwww... :-S There's nothing better in my little pup life than inspiring others to have fun, be their own dog, and help others when they can...so now I'm totally chuffed!

     * Blueberry from Spotty, Spotty, Polkadotty - Blueberry is one cool chick who has an incredibly large heart, together her Mom and her have assisted rescues and foster pups galore! :-D These two have left a paw print or two on lots of hearts!

One Brick For One Bark

Happy Monday Everyone!!!

I hope that you all had a stellar weekend!! :-D

Domeek and I managed to get to One Brick for One Bark...and it was pretty darn pawesome!! We were a little worried, since there weren't too many people or pups there to begin with, but in the end there were about 40ish pups! :-D Not too shabby for a community event!

There were lots of local vendors including pup stores, daycares, training facilities, and photographers, who were all incredibly nice and most gave me either goody bags or treats! ;-)

This is my favorite teacher, Miss Diane!! She was giving a first aid/CPR talk! Domeek learnt a lot and wants/needs to take her workshop, just in case! ;-)

We got to watch two pups conducting a trial version of a nosework competition, then I got to try out a beginning version of the course! It was pretty fun and I got to eat lots of yummies!

Finally, we got to watch a tricks/talent competition...man, oh man, are there a ton of super smart and talented pups out there!

Well, there you have it! We had a wonderful time and hope that next year's event grabs even more people, pups, and vendors! :-D

Oh, on a completely unrelated note, Domeek finally completed her tattoo, so stay tuned for the final shot! In my humble opinion, my portrait is by far, the best...but whatever! ;-)
