Yesterday Domeek surprised me by having the afternoon off so we buzzed on over to Half Moon Bay (hoping that the weather was better)!
We started off at their doggie park!!
There was only a couple of pups there, but I still had fun playing with all their balls!! :-D
Then it was off for coffee and a raspberry muffin (oh yeah) at our favorite cafe!! While we were enjoying sitting outside we met a pawesome older guy who fell in love me (;-P I know, how couldn't he)...him and Domeek talked for a really long time about how Half Moon Bay used to be...you know, when the dinosaurs lived there! Hehehe! He told us about this creek that was a couple of blocks away, an old creepy cemetery, and the area's oldest church...so we hopped off our tushes and checked out those sites!
These were right outside the church...I pretty much, flat out refused to stay still for a photo, so Domeek was only able to capture drive-bys! ;-)
And finally off to the creek!
The cemetery was unfortunately already closed by the time we walked by...and they didn't allow pups on the property (pft!)...so we couldn't romp through. :-(
But there were tons of mausoleums that looked soooo cool and a huge creepy gate that was locked at the front! ;-)
Even though the weather still blew, overall, we had a great afternoon!!! Hope you all did too!
See you next time!
Looks like you had a great afternoon! So jealous, we have more snow expected. :( Glad you had fun though!
ReplyDeleteHow great! I just love that you and Domeek had this great conversation with the old guy. For some reason it really made my MOM smile. Then you get to go to some cool places. Loved the drive by shots by the way. Goose you live a great life.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Goose
You always have so much fun Goose! The creek looks like a pretty cool place to visit.
ReplyDeleteAw, that was nice of your human to take the day off and hang with you. You're brave for exploring a cemetery. I don't think I'd be able to do that, with Beamer or not.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right; who wouldn't fall in love with you? ;)
Lucky you were wearing your skeleton jacket! probably kept the ghosts at bay.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it great to meet someone who could steer you to some interesting things. You might have missed them!

Creepy place, did you see any ghosts? Great creek and what a pawsome adventure. Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
I think it looks like a nice place to walk, lots of places to sniff!
ReplyDeleteThose are indeed the best adventures when you just go exploring - that is what my Mom does too. It is probably a good thing you didn't go in the cemetery - those can feel weird even to us doggies
ReplyDeleteHey...what a lovely day you had. It looks like a long way down to the creek. You made me nervous standing at the edge. BOL

oh wow oh wow oh wow! You got to spend the entire afternoon with your Momma! In a park with some food with people loving on you! Lucky!!
ReplyDeleteWow, you had a great afternoon! I am especially interested in this raspberry muffin business :)
ReplyDeleteGosh - aren't you glad the dinosaurs aren't roaming around there anymore? (Well, except for your Mom and the old fella - hehehe.)
ReplyDeleteLove those pics - looks like you had a blast exploring those new places!
Hi there, I so remember what HMB used to be like and also San Gergorio...in the olden times. Glad you were able to get there and enjoy some time wandering. Everytime I see a certain t.v. commercial I always say "there's Goose"because the dog looks just like you.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day.

ReplyDeleteWow, looks like you had a swell time. Now Goose, buddy . . . ya gotta help me! My mom hid all my balls and I am going crazy! Can ya send one my way?

Isn't it great when there is an unexpected afternoon off work? Yippee for you! I keep telling the pack that once the weather improves and I get the renovations done, we can get out and about more. Too much ice and mud, not a good combination for walking.
