Wordless Wednesday - Save Our Park!

Happy Wordless Wednesday everyone (even though it's only Tuesday)! :-)

Thought I would share some photos from a trip that I took a couple of days ago to Holbrook Palmer Park, which is just a couple miles away from where I live! The park is beautiful, especially now that Fall is arriving and the trees are a changing. At 22 acres in size it's also huge, considering that it's in the middle of a town. Unfortunately there is a measure on the upcoming ballot (poo, I can't vote cause I'm only a puppy) that will take away a giant portion of the park for a library.  :-( There are a lot of nature enthusiasts, dogs, families with kids, and exercisers that are pretty upset about this measure, so we showed our support by hanging out with lots of them!

Isn't the park stunning? And you should whiff all of those wonderful smells...I love it!!!

Have a great day everyone!! :-D

  1. Vote NO! And besides I think I heard that everyone is headed to electronic books. Don't need a library for that, right. So the trees (if it happens) are cut down do they get made into books to put in the library?

  2. Looks like a gorgeous park and place to play with your pups! I understand the importance of libraries, but this is 2012. Digital era! We don't need yet another building for no one to go to... Just my opinion! I'm sure all those library-goers out there are now shunning me...

  15. I agree with everyone, especially the other Goose! If most books are going to be electronic, they shouldn't need to take a giant section of the park for a library. It looks like a great place for walks!

  16. Goose, both you and your park are beautiful. As much as I appreciate libraries, I agree with the others comments, another location can be found. Your park cannot be replaced. I hope the ballot goes your way.

  17. Hi I've just hopped by on the blog hop.

That park looks great, you can't play ball in a Library.

I hope you all save the park.

    Sheba.
