Baylands Nature Preserve

Happy Weekend Everyone!! :-D

Well, while I'm off hunting wabbits and chickies (cookies that is), I thought I'd leave you with a few shots from a new walk that we did yesterday!

It's called the Baylands Nature Preserve and it consists of almost 2,000 acres of protected marshlands just on the edge of the San Francisco Bay!

It was absolutely gorgeous!

Of course we used the nifty MapMyDogWalk app again!

First off we checked out the sail boat docking area, which was a bit spooky but very cool!

Then we took a walk along the levees, which was almost deserted...I kept wondering where all the humans and pups were, especially since the weather was sooooo beautiful!

Finally we walked along this really narrow bridge that connected the levees to the edge of the Bay! The views were incredible and it felt like I was floating along all the marshlands! :-D

I tell you, if you are in the Bay Area and get the chance, come and visit all my awesome puppy friendly trails!! You will love them, Freckles promise!! :-D

Ok guys, visit back tomorrow for my Easter hunt photos! Have a great Saturday everyone!!

PeeS: I was just invited to join a wonderful bloghop that will be happening every Friday, starting with April the fifth, and I want to spread the word and encourage you all to participate as well!

It's called FitDog Friday (hosted by Peggy's Pet Place and SlimDoggy) and the goal is to bring awareness to the obesity problem that 52% of doggies have (as of 2012) and to encourage everyone to get out there: exercise, eat nutritiously, and live healthy lifestyles! :-D Not a bad idea at all!! Visit either hosting blog for more information!

Hope to see you all on the hop!

  5. How pretty! Walking around water is rare here, unless we drive out to one of the lakes, but then there are no trails. Mom just downloaded the WalkMyDogApp - she hasn't had a chance to use it though.

  10. Looks like lots of fun! I could not watch the ball video, I am still without my ball! Doggie obesity is an important cause! Just stopping by and getting caught up on what everyone is up to. Have a wonderful weekend!
