Friday Finds

Happy Friday Everyone!! :-D

I hope that most of you have today and Monday off...Domeek's at home right now!! Yeah (of course I'm celebrating this long weekend by napping the entire morning, hehehe)!

Freckles the Dog Friday Finds

For some reason I've been seeing a ton of different dog related products on the internets this week, some of which are really nifty, so I thought I'd share a few with you guys!

Freckles the Dog

I know that a bunch of your pawrents are crafty types, so how about a fantabulous origami dog book? Apparently even those who are new to paper folding art can figure out how to create your best friend's image! :-D

Freckles the Dog

Paper Pups by Hiroshi Hayakaw contains 35 different dog breeds and only costs $9.87 on Amazon (Domeek is putting this one on the Christmas remember list)! :-)

Freckles the Dog

Most of the artwork in our house is dog or cat related (hahaha, I make sure of it), so when we saw this clean and simple typography image, Domeek and I got a little excited!

If you're not in kindergarten or don't want the entire alphabet, WeaversofSouthsea on Etsy also has each of the individual letters and dog breeds on their own print as well! :-D Me gusta!

Freckles the Dog

Dog Alphabet Poster by WeaversofSouthsea is available on Etsy for $19.00!

Freckles the Dog

This one is for the quilters and sewers among you! ;-) Emily Bond of England has an entire collection of dog related linen fabrics, housewares, and wallpaper inspired by her own beautiful pups!

From setters to terriers, dalmatians to dachshunds, and spaniels to labradors, each has their own whimsical design!

Freckles the Dog

Emily Bond of England fabrics, accessories, and wallpaper aren't cheap, but they are absolutely beautiful. Be sure to check her website out!

Freckles the Dog

Finally, I'm sure most of you have heard about the phenomenon that is Maddie On Things, but I have to put her book here! I just found out that the Maddie Book Tour is coming to San Francisco on September 9th so Domeek and I will be heading out to see both Maddie and Theron then! Luckily they are hosting the event at a dog-friendly bookstore, so all pups are welcomed with open paws!

Freckles the Dog

Their current project (partnered with PurinaOne) is called Why We Rescue, it's a documentary that travels across all 50 states highlighting how pets and rescue animals have transformed human lives for the better! They will be focusing in on one shelter/rescue pet per state and guess what? They need more stories (mainly on the central and west coast)!! :-D Make sure you click on the link above and check out the project, then if you are interested in telling your story click on the Sign Up tab!

I can't wait to hear all about their adventures and meet Maddie!

Maddie on Things by Theron Humphrey is available at Chronicle Books for $15.95

See how many pawesome items people are creating and selling that have been inspired by dogs?! It's pretty incredible! :-D I posted these and more on Pinterest, so make sure you follow me there for more creations!

Have an excellent long weekend everyone! Enjoy the end of summer weather and some quality time with the family!

These Are A Few Of My Favorite (Etsy) Things

Happy Monday Friends!!

I hope you all got a chance to celebrate National Dog Day! I spent the day relaxing, sleeping in, eating lots of delicious goodies (can you say "pancakes" and "meatballs"?), and hanging out with my friends and family. All in all, it was a perfect day! :-D

Domeek is working and then picking Ginger up from the vet, so in order to counteract a big case of the Mondays I went online window shopping, looking through all of the newest goodies on Etsy!!! Ooooo, there is some fun stuff available right now!!

These are a few of my favorite things [hehehe, I'm singing this]:

Me-N-The Tag Set - Adoption by IvysPets

Not only is this a really cool identification tag for both cats and dogs, but the other section of the tag is a nifty key-chain for your human (I'm guessing so that other dogs can identify them as your property). I love it!

Harness with Flower or Bow Tie by Learned Stitichworks

So, normally I don't like anything that's too foofy or not-dog-like, but if your human is going to stick a flower on you then this is the way to do it! I really like the colors and the style of the harness!

Wine Crate Pet Bed by RagsIIRiches

This one is really for humans like Domeek, she loves her wine and thought that this was the cutest way to introduce it into a doggy or kitty design style (cause, you know, we aren't allowed the alcohols)! I like that the bed is raised and that the pillow looks pretty darn fluffy!

Dog Tail Leash Holder by AplombDesigns

I love the colors, words, and Dog Butt (hehehehe)...who wouldn't want their favorite leash hanging from such a funny sign?! I know I would!!!

Dog Crate Cover Ensemble by Lmikel

I have a confession...I really don't like going in crates! I get super duper nervous, but, if I had a snazy ensemble like this then maybe I wouldn't feel so uncomfortable! Two pillows, a soft bed, and curtains, whoa that's nicer than Domeek's bed! ;-)

Catnip Vampire Bat by SmallWonderArt

This one is for my kitty friends! Since Halloween is just around the corner, I got super excited when I saw this awesome catnip toy! How cool and scary is he?! I want one too, even though I would destroy it in about 2 minutes! Maybe my brothers will get it for a gift and then I can "borrow" it? :-D

Hope you all have a great Monday!

A Little Etsy Love

Image via Art & Musings

As I said yesterday, Domeek and me like to get our crafting on! In the past couple of months we've made a puppy sleeping sack, which is oh-so-comfortable and perfect for snuggling in after a bath, and a patriotic harness to wear for the Fourth of July, which turned out so well that she's going to create another one for Halloween/Fall time! :-D

But sometimes you don't have the time, the energy, or the creativity to sit down and make the doggy or kitty item that you want! So, in those times, I turn to my favoritist handmade/vintage website Etsy!!! You can find the coolest items ever here!

Since I don't have hours to just sit on the computer and scour through the hundreds of thousands of pet related items on Etsy, I figure that you guys don't either! So, why not share some of my favorite sellers and items with you and maybe that will inspire your Domeek to go and make or buy you something awesome!!! Please feel free to share your favorite ones with me too...cause as I said, I just don't have the time or energy to click through each page (yawn!), but I don't want to miss out on something brilliant!

I got my very first ID tag from this Mom and Daughter team out of Canada and then Pumpkin, my brother, just won another one from their Facebook contest! They are very different from the regular tags that you see in the big stores! They come in all sorts of different metals, colors, sizes, and you get to choose your own embellishments! Very nifty!

This is where Domeek got her idea for my sleeping sack; they have so many options that you can choose from for their Burrow Bag! They also sell some really cool looking blanket jackets, including a Jack Skeleton one, that look really warm! :-D

The Playful Pup's Dinosaur Fleece Dog Costume

Domeek and I just found this item last night, we were looking at all of the dog costumes that are on the internet, let me tell you, a disappointment to say the least, when we came upon this beauty! I wanted to be Captain America, cause that's my personality in a nutshell, but no one is selling a costume (except on Etsy, but I don't like it (sorry)). But then we happened upon this dinosaur costume and I instantly fell in love!!! It's green, my favorite color, and it's cool and scary looking!!! I love it! Domeek said she's going to get it for me for Halloween!

My two favorite items in this store are their doggy travel bowls, which come in fabric prints that are really fun yet sophisticated and their plush squeaky donut toys, which look so delicious that I could and probably would gobble them up in just a second!

My final Etsy favorite store/item is Rctees

This isn't for us fluffy types, it's for your Domeek! Perhaps you have seen them before? Jackson Galaxy has been seen wearing one of their awesome t-shirts that Domeek bought, it says, "Real Men Love Cats." I think it's funny! They also sell shirts that are pro-adoption and rescue! We like the kitty member of their team, Abby...she looks like my brother, Ginger! :-)

Ok, that's it for now...any stores or items you can recommend to me?
