Very Short Post Tonight...(#BTC4A)

Hey there everyone!!

Thank you all so very much for all the Birthday love!! I had an excellent day and can't wait for tomorrow's picnic!!

So, today is only going to be a very short post, as I have a couple of links that I want to pass along to you.

  • To all you bloggers out there: World Vets is teaming up with BlogPaws Be The Change For Pets to create, the first of its kind, a Blogger Disaster Response Network! In the wake of Japan's disaster and aftermath, World Vets decided it was time to put together a group of blogger volunteers who would receive all the information available and needed in order to spread the word and assist anyone! I've already signed up for the group and I highly recommend all of you to do the same!
  • I know that I am totally preaching to the choir, but in case you or someone you know is in the path of that nasty Sandy...please urge them to create and follow through on a disaster plan that involves your pets! Please do not leave them behind!!
  • As I've already mentioned, October is Pit Bull Awareness Month, and today was (sorry for the late recap) National Pit Bull Awareness Day!! Started in 2007, this day focuses on pit bull rescue, education, and the end of BSL!
  • As most of you know, BarkWorld is going on right now (how exciting)! Petco is teaming up with them to donate $1.00 to various shelters and rescues (they're trying for $5000) for each blog post or tweet that is sent containing the hash tag #BTC4A during this weekend!!! All you need to do is spread their message, use that hash tag, and send your followers to this website
Make sure to check out the sites above!!

Thanks so much guys and have a great evening/morning!! :-D

  4. The disaster response network sounds like a GREAT idea! Australia is a land of draught and flooding and not to mention fire, so that sort of network would be very useful!
