What Can A Pup Do...

...in all this crazy heat?!

I know, most of you are still covered in snow, so will want to take me out and shoot me; but boy oh boy was today super duper hot! Urg!

This morning was beautiful though! I got to spend some time checking out all the new flowers that are coming in, glaring at Kitty, and chewing on some sticks...life was good!

Freckles the Dog

Later in the afternoon we went to the puppy park...but the heat was practically unbearable! It was almost 80 degrees out, phew, compared to the last few weeks of low 60's! Ah!

Freckles the Dog

I spent most of the hour in the shade and by the water dish...

Freckles the Dog

...as did my buddy, Stoli! Check out his pawesome 'tude!! ;-)

Freckles the Dog

(Puppy kisses) We're total buddies!! :-D

Domeek felt bad that I was really hot, so when we got home, she went to the freezer and pulled out a SmartPup pumpkin and chicken soup smoothie! Have you guys ever eaten one of these before?

Please, please, please give me the treat!!!

Freckles the Dog

Oh man, does this taste delicious and it's sooooo cold!! :-D

Freckles the Dog

I thought that Kitty might want to eat my nummy...I told him, "Heck No...back off dude!!"

Freckles the Dog

I even had to find a safer location, just in case someone wanted to steal it from me!

Freckles the Dog

Aw, I seriously suggest that you try yourself one of these healthy treats when the weather gets hot!

Freckles the Dog

Ok, I hope that you all had a wonderful day too!! Take care everyone! :-D

PeeS: A couple of things to note: first off, today (March 13th) is K9 Veterans Day since it is the official birthday of the United States K9 Corps! Let's just take a few seconds to think and thank all of those heroic pups that spend countless years serving their country and protecting their fellow officers! Make sure that you check out the link, it gives a ton of history and information about all those veteran dogs!

Secondly, I'm sure most of you have seen all of those crazy Harlem Shake videos...but my friends over at Muttville Senior Dog Rescue have created their own! Oh man, it's pawesome and super funny! ;-D

Happy Thursday Everyone!!!

Today was, once again, such a busy day!

I had a swimming lesson in the morning at The Rex Center. If you live in the Bay Area and either need some physical therapy or a place to relax and have a fun time in the water with your human, then definitely check them out! I’m a really good swimmer, but honestly I don’t know why Domeek keeps taking me to the pool. I just don’t get why you want to get in a big bath!?

After a short nap, I helped with some yard work, as a supervisor (of course!), and then it was off to the store to get all of the ingredients that I needed for my puppy quiches! Cause, I was really hungry after all that work!

There are so many delicious things in those quiches~!! I especially liked having extra cheese thrown in! Then it was the waiting game…I had to wait…and wait…and wait…it felt like forever!!!!! Even though Domeek says it was only 15 minutes, it felt like an hour! Look at my big, sad eyes!

Domeek says that there are a couple of differences, from the recipe, that she found while making them (I MADE them though!): first of all, the recipe says that it makes 12 quiches, but unless they are mini-muffin pans, they only make 9 small quiches. They also tend to get stuck to the bottom of the pan, even with olive oil, so Domeek is going to put them in muffin cups next time. Here they are, close up!

I couldn’t believe that they smelt soooooo good…as soon as I was offered one, I gobbled it all up!!!! YUM!

Next up for me is a walk around the neighborhood! :-) Make those yummy quiches for yourself!!!

I’m currently begging Domeek to go and make some of these delicious delectables for me!!! Just look at them! Yummmmm…

They have everything that I could ever dream about in them…well, except I’m asking her to put some cheeeeeese in it too! [I LOVE cheese]

All you need are these ingredients:
~ 6-7 turkey chips (you can substitute 1/4 cup of cooked meat or chicken if you’re between orders)
~ 2 large eggs
~ 1/3 cup green beans cut into small pieces ( you can substitute any fresh or thawed frozen, dog safe veggie)
~ 1/4 cup cottage cheese
~ 1 teaspoon olive oil to coat the pan.

Then you put them in the oven and voila…out pops numminess for me! :-) Domeek says that there’s a bit more you need to do, so follow this link to the “real” instructions! If you make any for your little dude, then send some over to me too!!! Please! :-)
